Airbag & Restraint Systems

To become an Accredited Diagnostic Technician we offer a pathway of 11 one day courses, followed by a two day accreditation. The courses are designed to lead in to each other, but can be taken individually as singular, stand-alone courses to enhance your skill set if preferred or required. You can also choose to sit the courses and not continue to the final accreditation if you wish.

This course is designed to gain a much better understanding of handling airbags, diagnosing faults, looking at pre-tensioner systems and the plethora of airbags systems now implemented.

An excellent overview of supplementary restraint systems, testing circuits, disarming times and the use of Multi Meters, with subjects covered including:
• How airbag systems deploy & how they rely on so much information around the vehicle to deploy
• Safety & how to work safely on SRS systems
• Working with SDM sensors
• Longitudinal & lateral sensors on some ECU’s & mishandling issues
