Diesel Common Rail Technology

To become an Accredited Diagnostic Technician we offer a pathway of 11 one day courses, followed by a two day accreditation. The courses are designed to lead in to each other, but can be taken individually as singular, stand-alone courses to enhance your skill set if preferred or required. You can also choose to sit the courses and not continue to the final accreditation if you wish.

This course explores Common Rail Diesel systems and the common faults associated with fuel pressure.

Subjects covered include:
• Low pressure & high pressure pumps
• Piezo injectors
• Common Rail sensors and the importance of correct diagnosis
• Understanding thresholds
• EGR & swirl flaps and discovering what these components do
• Tips on test procedures & fault finding
• Importance of pre-pump pressures
