Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

“The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This training course is designed to provide the first aid knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively to emergency situations in the workplace. Our course is HSE and insurance compliant and will give a qualification lasting three years. Annual refreshers are strongly advised and this course includes access to free online refreshers until requalification is due.

Eligibility Criteria
• There are no eligibility requirements for those who wish to undertake this course
• The role of a first aider can be physically and emotionally challenging. It is important you feel you will be able to act quickly and effectively in a first aid emergency situation

Assessment
• Ongoing practical assessment during the day
• There is no written test
• Annual refreshers are strongly advised and these are available free of charge online until requalification is due
