Engine Management Systems

To become an Accredited Diagnostic Technician we offer a pathway of 11 one day courses, followed by a two day accreditation. The courses are designed to lead in to each other, but can be taken individually as singular, stand-alone courses to enhance your skill set if preferred or required. You can also choose to sit the courses and not continue to the final accreditation if you wish.

Content
This course explains the relationship between sensors and the effects they have on one another. Understanding sensor voltages and relationships between components really speeds up diagnostic time.

Candidates will look at the relationship of sensor voltage and the similarity between different vehicles, as well as looking at diagnosing sensors & relative voltages.

• Understanding pin numbers
• Understanding, tracing & deciphering wiring diagrams
• Examples of components inside each other and how they interact
