IMI Level 1 Hydrogen Vehicle Awareness
The content of this qualification has been designed to give learners an introduction to the knowledge of safe working practices, the dangers surrounding, and the precautions required to avoid potential injury when near hydrogen vehicles.
This award-sized qualification offers an introduction to this specialised industry sector which, in addition to complimenting their current industry qualifications and experience, will enable learners to continue to work safely within their role. These roles can include, but are not exclusive to, non-technical people, such as:
- Managers
- Valeters
- Parts personnel
- Sales, and aftersales personnel
- Event staff
- Fleet managers and personnel
- Vehicle recovery personnel
- Vehicle dismantlers
- Vehicle damage assessors
- Insurance companies
- Vehicle hire companies
- Hydrogen vehicle drivers
Candidates are required to sit an on-line examination at the end of the course.

ABOUT THIS COURSE
The content of this qualification has been designed to give learners the knowledge required to work safely around hydrogen vehicles. It contains one mandatory unit covering:
- The types of hydrogen vehicles available
- Hazards associated with hydrogen vehicle systems
- Working safely around hydrogen vehicles including refuelling
As a result, learners successfully completing this qualification will acquire significant core knowledge of working safely around, but not maintaining, hydrogen vehicles.
FURTHER STUDY
This level 1 qualification provides essential non-technical knowledge of Hydrogen.
In support to the 1-day Hydrogen Awareness course, REVAMP Training Limited offer an overall 4-day CPD training course in Hydrogen safety analysis and risk assessment management. The course covers Hydrogen Awareness (as above) plus duties and responsibilities, regulatory legislation, Hydrogen hazard identification and risk assessment both theory and application, key considerations, and emergency responses. Additionally, Hydrogen systems, facility design and construction, alongside system components will be examined together with a scenario-based Hydrogen analysis exercise.
