STARTIUM 980E

STARTIUM 980E is a Starter Charger that is able to charge AGM/Gel (Stop/Start) Liquid batteries and to safely start modern vehicles. Charge all battery types: Select the charging curve for the battery type - Liquid, Gel, AGM. Choose from 4 charging outputs, 5A, 15A, 20A and 40A. The advanced multi-stage charger will charge to 100% and does not require supervision or the battery to be removed from the vehicle. At the end of the charge the charger enters a float mode to maintain the battery at 100%. No need to disconnect the battery from the vehicle. No risk of sparks, there is no voltage to the clamps when they are not connected to a battery. Function which permits safe charging when charging deeply discharge batteries (

• Enables the recovery of sulphated batteries. Auto restart defaulting to the last settings used. Alternator test function to aid fault finding.
• Fault codes displayed on the digital screen for simple troubleshooting. The STARTIUM 980E will automatically detect damaged or badly sulphated batteries.
• Passes the GYS 1.2.3 test 1-SAFE: Provides protection for the vehicles' electronics, safe to charge in situ - no need to disconnect from the battery, polarity reversal protection, incorrect voltage protection 2-ALL BATTERY TYPES: Advances charging curves to suit the battery type e.g. AGM, EFB, Sart&Stop, Silver/Calcium 3-UNIVERSAL MODE: A function allowing the user to charge the battery safely when the type is not known
